History

Ironfield Works was established in 1928, by John H Turner as a millwright and mechanical engineering business. It served fishing, farming, transportation, distilleries and mills.



In time, his son, John S G Turner joined the business and served his time to become a millwright.  Over time he developed and ran his own business of providing mechanical engineering services to local factories and workshops.

 

In 2018, the next generation, Alan Turner established Ironfield Tech Services. 

Innovation

One measure of engineering ability is the capability to identify, technically understand and then develop a solution to a specific challenge.   If that solution is innovative enough to be considered unique, then a patent may be applied for.   
 To date, Alan Turner, has been granted eight patents for innovations in intervention.    
In addition to patents, Alan Turner has authored and presented numerous technical presentations, industry papers and published articles.
